Jeff flew in from Texas and my brother flew in from Vegas... and we all took a trip up to Michigan to visit Aunt Jan, Uncle John, Cousin Alicia and her family... and the beautiful beaches of Lake Michigan.
It was bitter sweet... we had such a great time but it was a little sad realizing it will be our last visit... probably for a while since we're moving so far away!
While we were there, we celebrated Austin's 7th Birthday!
Thank you all for your cards, birthday money, gifts and phone calls!
He was so happy to hear from his family!
To celebrate, we had pizza and cupcakes at the hotel swimming pool with Alicia, John, the kids...
and of course Daddy and Uncly Tony!
Ironically enough, AJ lost his 6th tooth and Jack lost his 2nd tooth, all within the same hour on AJ's Birthday! The tooth fairy made a double visit!
Jack just lost his 1st tooth on July 31st, the same day he got his first bike!
My brother Tony was nice enough to offer to come out and help me fix the house up to sell and/or rent!
Tony, thank you so, so much for everything!! And Debra, thanks for loaning us your husband!!
He put an outlet in the basement closet for our new water heater and changed out my kitchen faucet that has been broken for some time! He was here a total of 3 days... and I'd guess that we may have gotten, oh, maybe 12 hours of sleep!? Total. We talked, and talked, and then talked some more! It was really nice.
I don't think we've ever gotten to know each other so well. I know that sounds weird cause we're brother and sister, but we're 8 years apart and I don't think we've ever spent time alone... so it was long overdue!
I really enjoyed the visit with Tony, our cousin Alicia, Aunt Jan and Uncle Buzz... and of course, Jeff!
It has been 3 weeks since he left and it was so nice having him home! We miss our Daddy!
Hoping to get the house sold or rented soon so we can be out of here before the winter!
The very next day after we got home from Michigan, it was time for the first day of school!
The boys decided they were ready for the bus this year, so even though I followed the bus to and from the school, and followed them into their classrooms... I allowed it! :) HAhaha
Austin loves the first grade... and Jack is loving Kindergarten!
I'm 7!
