M.I.A.

That's me, Missing In Action these days! Sorry... I've really become such a blog slacker!

Much has been going on and life has been changing courses on nearly a daily basis! To be quite honest, I'm a bit dizzy!

My mom was here for a week, that was awesome! SO hard to say goodbye when she left! :(
The boys were in heaven having Grandma here, and she seemed pretty blissful herself! I wish we lived closer!
She was so helpful with the kids, and the house, and the cooking and cleaning! I got caught up on all my laundry! I am horrified to admit that at the bottom of the dirty laundry pile in my closet there were Christmas pjs... that's right, Christmas... and I wore them Christmas eve! THAT is how behind I was! 1st trimester slump! Glad it's over! Not a lot beyond the 'have to' stuff gets done during 1st Trimester's around here! Jeff has been very patient and understanding by the 3rd time around, and much more helpful I have to say! :)

So after careful consideration (and some number crunching with my mom, who is also a realtor) we have decided NOT to sell for the time being. Not only could it end up costing us in the end... but I honestly just don't have it in me right now to keep the house in "showing shape" while caring for 3 small children every day and one in the belly! I give in... here, we stay, for at least one more year... maybe two!?

We spent a few days at the Dells in Wisconsin while Jeff was off for 11 days vacation, during March Madness (NOT an accident!) :)
Anyhow, it was fun... kind of. The kids were a bit small yet to really enjoy it, and I was a bit pregnant/sick for the car ride and all the packing/shlepping of the stuff... but it was a great little condo we had and fun to change up the scene a bit!

We're getting ready to go visit my Dad in California in 5 weeks, for his 60th Birthday. Still no word as to whether or not he'll be on Survivor next season... he should know in April, I guess. We're not looking forward to flying with the kids, and again... packing and shlepping while pregnant.... but it will be so nice to be home! I haven't been back to my home town in California in 2 years... since my Grandma's funeral. So it'll be good to get back and take the boys around the old stomp'n grounds a bit! I'm looking forward to it! Hoping to spend a night or two in Santa Cruz (where I was born) too. The Boardwalk is one of my favorite spots on earth, it feels like home. :) Next would be Yosemite, which we may attempt with the kids as well!? Guess we'll see how it goes... we're going back for my Dad's 60th Birthday party, so that will be the focus and highlight!

Here's a random tidbit that may rub some wrong depending on their personal beliefs... but I spoke with a real psychic lately, and it was very insightful! I have to admit, she knew her stuff... and it was very reassuring to get some perspective on life and family! What an amazing experience that was!! I know a lot of people don't believe in them or disapprove of them for religious reasons or what have you, but I for one am a complete believer... when it's an actual, real psychic! There's a lot of fakes, but when they're real it can be very enlightening.

I feel a whole new lease on life. A fresh, new perspective. I'm not afraid or nervous anymore about the economy or our future... I'm completely at ease! AND, I am closer to a few family members that I hadn't realized I really needed to reach out to, so all in all, it was really great!

Pregnancy wise, I'm in next thursday to get the downs syndrom test done, as well as checking the TSH levels.... making sure the thyroid is not under/over active! We should be finding out in about 4-5 more weeks if we'll be having a boy or a girl!
I can hardly wait! :)

Austin and Jack are getting to be SO big! They wrestle constantly, it's playful, but non stop. When they're not wrestling they're cuddling! It's really sweet to see, they truly are the best of friends! Jeff is back to work and working hard. Happy to have a job, business is slow... but he's feeling confident that it'll all work out.

I think that about sums it all up... what's been going on while I've been M.I.A.! :)
